Police, firefighters and paramedics from Montgomery County responded about 6:45 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 to an extrication crash involving an SUV and a snow plow at Columbia Pike at Briggs Chaney Road near Silver Spring, Maryland. Two women and a man were killed in the crash that occurred when the SUV hit the back of snow plow. A fourth person was transported to a nearby hospital, and is listed in critical condition. Heavy snow had fallen in the area earlier on Monday.
