The boundary moves out over the Atlantic by Thursday evening with the low lingering near the Northeast through Friday, bringing rain to the area.

Therefore, the SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region and the Northern Rockies through Thursday morning. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a minimal threat of tornadoes. Additionally, to the severe weather, mixed precipitation will develop for the Northern Intermountain Region overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
On Thursday, the front moves eastward across the Plains and the Mississippi Valley, producing showers and severe thunderstorms over the Central Plains. Therefore, the SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2/5) of severe thunderstorms over parts of the Central Plains from Thursday into Friday morning. The hazards associated with these thunderstorms are frequent lightning, severe thunderstorm wind gusts, hail, and a minimal threat of tornadoes. Moreover, showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and the Ohio Valley Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
Elsewhere, a front will linger across the Southeast, producing showers and thunderstorms Wednesday into Thursday morning.
