New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers during a Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which will end his 2023 season. An MRI confirmed the injury on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Rogers landed awkwardly during a sack by Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd on the fourth play (first possession) in his debut with the New York Jets.
Rodgers, a four time NFL MVP, was acquired by the New York Jets from the Green Bay Packers in April 2023.
Jets quarterback Zach Wilson played the rest of the game, which the Jets won 22-16 in Overtime.
