Seven Million Euros Worth of Vehicles Seized from Andrew Tate and Brother Following Arrest and Sex Trafficking Investigation

The Romanian government has seized vehicles worth 7 million Euros from Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate, his brother, less than one week after the brothers were arrested for investigation of sex trafficking.

Andrew Tate and his brother were arrested in late December 2022 for a sex trafficking investigation. Photos showed Tate surrounded and escorted by Jandarmeria Română on December 29, 2022 outside the headquarters of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest (DIICOT) in Bucharest, Romania after being detained for 24 hours. Tate and Tristan were arrested in Romania along with two other suspects, and were charged with human trafficking and forming an organized crime group. Romanian police allege that the group coerced victims into creating paid pornography. On Friday, December 30, 2022, a judge ordered Andrew Tate to remain in custody for 30 days.

Jandarmeria Română is the national Gendarmerie force of Romania, tasked with high-risk and specialized law enforcement duties, and are one of the two main police forces in Romania. Both the Jandarmeria Română and the Romanian Police (a civilian police force) have jurisdiction over the civilian population.

Andrew Tate is a former professional kickboxer, an American-British social media personality, and businessman. Following his kickboxing career, he began offering paid courses and memberships through his website and later rose to fame as an Internet celebrity. Due to issues related to alleged misogynist commentary, Andrew Tate has been suspended from several social media platforms.
