Police, firefighters and paramedics from Washington DC responded about 3:20 p.m. ET Connecticut Avenue and Connecticut Avenue and Van Ness Street NW in Washington D.C. to a report of shots fired. One man, two women and a 12-year-old girl were shot near the intersection.
The man, one of the women and the girl were taken to the hospital for treatment; the two adults are in stable but critical condition, while the girl has minor injuries, Emerman said.
The fourth victim, a woman in her 60s, suffered a graze wound and was treated on scene.
MPD Assistant Chief Stuart Emerman said the police are interested in speaking to a man identified as Raymond Spencer, a 23-year-old who lives in Fairfax, Virginia.
